Accept the invitation to journey through Lent with Jesus Christ and one of the great spiritual teachers of the Catholic Church, Saint Benedict. Let your heart feel his wisdom as he shows the way to Christ. He calls us: “As we progress, our hearts will swell with the unspeakable sweetness of love, enabling us to race along the way of God’s commandments.”
Prepare for your journey with an Invitation from Saint Benedict, a short biography of Saint Benedict, a brief history of the Benedictine Order, and a section on Saint Benedict and Prayer. The journey begins each day of Lent, weekdays and Sundays, with: a Gospel Reading, a selection from the Rule of Saint Benedict, a Reflection, and a Prayer. Let this book help you explore the spiritual depths of Saint Benedict and the path to God.
For Saint Benedict, nothing was more important in life than to seek God and for whom nothing was to be preferred to the love of Christ.
